본 연구는 기독교 윤리적 의미의 용서를 연구하고 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 신구약성서의 전통에서 드러난 죄와 용서의 의미를 파악하고, 용서의 사회적 의미를 이해하면서, 용서의 기독교 윤리적 의미를 고찰하고 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 세 가지 논점을 전개하고 있다. 첫째, 본 논문은 구약성서 전통에서 용서의 의미에 대해서 분석하기 위해서, 율법과 예언자 전통을 통해서 드러난 용서의 의미를 파악하면서, 용서의 사회적인 의미를 다루고 있다. 둘째, 본 연구는 신약성서의 전통에서 용서의 의미를 다루기 위해서, 예수 시대의 복음과 용서의 관계, 그리고 초기 교회 바울을 통해서 용서의 사회적 의미가 어떻게 전달되었는지에 대해서 논증하고 있다. 셋째, 성서적 전통의 용서의 의미에 대한 기독교윤리적인 해석을 시도하기 위해서, 본 연구는 폴 리쾨르의 사랑과 정의의 변증법적인 관계를 고찰함으로, 용서의 윤리는 사랑과 정의를 실현하는 과정임을 논증하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 용서는 단순히 내세적이고 종교적인 차원만을 의미하는 것이 아니라, 기독교 윤리적인 차원의 용서는 사랑과 정의를 실현하는 것임을 논증하고 있다.
Abstract
This study examines the Christian ethical meaning of forgiveness. This study delves into the Christian ethical implications of forgiveness, while grasping the meaning of sin and forgiveness revealed in the Old and New testaments. To this end, the study develops three points. First, this paper analyzes the meaning of forgiveness in Old Testament tradition as it deals with the social meaning of forgiveness based on the law(Torah) and the prophetic tradition. Second, this study discusses how the social meaning of forgiveness was conveyed through the gospel in the days of Jesus, and through the early church of the Apostle Paul in the New Testament tradition. Third, this study conducts a Christian ethical interpretation of forgiveness, as it examines the dialectical relationship between love and justice of Paul Ricoeur, that the ethics of forgiveness are the process of realizing love and justice. Through this study, forgiveness does not simply mean pursing on the religious dimension for the next world, but pursing on the Christian ethical dimension through the practice love and justice.
