미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현 언어 능력 향상에 미치는 효과 연구

초록

본 연구는 미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현 언어 능력 향상에 미치는 효과를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구대상은 자발적으로 참여를 원하는 선택적 함묵증 아동 2명이었고 미술치료 프로그램은 주 1회 40분을 기준으로 실시하였으며, 효과를 검증하기 위하여 사전․사후 검사를 실시 하였다. 선택적 함묵증 아동를 위한 심리 치료적 미술치료를 주요 개념으로 프로그램을 구성하였다. 연구 결과에 대한 효과 검증을 위해서 검사지는 불안도 검사, 사회성 검사, HTP, K-HTP, KFD, LMT, FCCD, SOCIAL-ATOM 등을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 연구의 가설인 미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현언어 능력 향상에 효과적이라는 것이 입증되었다. 첫째로 미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 심리적 안정을 통한 대인관계와 대인관계 불안 감소에 유의미한 효과가 있다는 것이다. 둘째로 미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현언어 능력 향상에 효과적이라는 것이다. 미술치료를 통하여 이러한 가설에 만족함으로 미술치료가 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현언어 능력 향상에 효과적이라는 결론에 도달하게 되었다. 본 연구가 가설을 만족하는 불안 감소를 통한 표현언어 능력 향상에 유의미한 결과를 얻었다고 할지라도, 첫째, 미술치료를 이용한 선택적 함묵증 아동의 표현언어 향상에 대한 최초의 사례이며, 둘째, 본 연구가 기초적인 연구 모델 사례이고 선택적 함묵증 아동의 미술치료는 더욱 더 보완 발전되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 미술치료 자체가 정형화나 구조화에 한계를 가지고 있지만, 진단과 평가를 객관화할 수 있는 연구가 지속적으로 요구된다 하겠다. 미술치료의 다양성이 갖는 좋은 점도 있지만, 전문가가 아니면 접근하기 어렵다는 문제점을 동시에 가지고 있다. 이러한 점을 보완하기 위하여 유형별 지침이 될 만한 정형화와 구조화는 필요하다 할 것이다. 넷째, 미술치료 효과를 더욱 극대화하기 위해서 치료를 받은 아동이 귀가(歸家)해서 가족과 함께 즐기면서 치료할 수 있는 보조기구나 책자를 개발함으로써, 주1회나 2회의 치료시간이외 가정에서 보조적으로 사용할 수 있는 책자나 자료를 개발함으로 지속적으로 치료효과를 유지할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 책자나 보조 자료의 개발이 요구된다 할 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect Art Therapy affected improvement of expressional language ability of Elective Mutism Child. Subjects were two Elective Mutism Children who volunteered to participate Art Therapy program. This Art therapy program was carried out their 40 minutes per time once a week. The pre/post test design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of Art Therapy. The main concepts of theory are Psychotherapy of Treatment Options for Selective Mutism. The instrument used to measure the effectiveness of this 20 weeks program were interpersonal anxiety test score, interpersonal relationship test score, HTP, K-HTP, KFD, LMT, FCCD, SOCIAL-ATOM. The results of this research support all the hypothesis that the program using Art Therapy is effective to improve of expressional language ability in Elective Mutism Child. First, Art Therapy was significantly effected in Elective Mutism Child of interpersonal anxiety and interpersonal relationship. Second, Art Therapy is effective to improve of expressional language ability in Elective Mutism Child. Based on the above findings, the conclusion of this research is Art Therapy is effective to improve of expressional language ability in Elective Mutism Child. However, this research could be meaningful in following aspects : First, this is the first attempt to improve expressional language ability in Elective Mutism Child for applying Art Therapy. Second, this research could contribute as a baseline model to study and development further in Elective Mutism Child of Art Therapy. Besides above arguments, restricted conditions for this research and further recommendations are also discussed.
