본 연구는 또래관계에 어려움을 가지고 있는 한 명의 남학생 청소년 내담자를 대상으로 실시된 미술치료 사례분석을 통하여 내담자의 사회적 기술문제의 유발요인, 이야기 만들기 중심 미술치료가 사회적 기술에 미친 치료적 요인, 이야기 만들기 중심 미술치료의 효과성 요인을 도출하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내담자의 사회적 기술에 문제가 생기게 된 유발요인은 내담자의 까다로운 기질, 불안정-회피 애착, 부적절한 부모의 양육태도, 부적절한 상황 파악 및 대처로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 기술에 미친 치료적 요인은 내담자 요인, 치료자 요인, 그리고 그림 및 이야기 만들기의 역할 요인으로 파악되었다. 내담자 요인은 사회적 관계에 대한 욕구, 뛰어난 인지기능, 민감성, 자발성, 성실성으로 나타났다. 치료자 요인은 따라가기, 들어주기, 받아들이기, 질문하기, 드러내기로 파악되었다. 그림 및 이야기 만들기의 역할에 대한 요인으로 그림 및 이야기는 자기표현의 역할과 모델의 설정 역할을 하여 내담자는 상징적이며 은유적으로 안전하게 자신을 표현하였다. 셋째, 이야기 만들기 중심 미술치료의 효과성은 부모자녀 관계의 변화, 자아인식의 변화, 자기조절 능력의 향상, 주장성의 향상으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 내담자가 자발적으로 만들어낸 그림 및 이야기는 내담자의 억압된 감정 해소와 과거경험의 재인식을 촉구하였으며, 새롭게 자아인식을 형성해 나갈 수 있었다.
Abstract
In this study, a male adolescent student who had difficulty interacting with his peers received art therapy. This study probed into why the adolescent had problems with social skills and what factors helped the client affect his social skills during the therapy. Also the effect of story-making based art therapy used to improve the client's social skills was investigated. Data for the study included notes the therapist took during the sessions, recorded conversation between the therapist and client, and materials and drawings about broadcasting stations and schools the client made for the story-making activity. Second, the factors that influenced the client's social skills were the client factors, therapist factors, and drawing and story-making related factors. The client factors included the client's desire for social skills, high cognitive ability, sensitivity, willingness, and sincerity. The therapist factors included listening, accepting, questioning, and revealing. Regarding the drawing and story making factor, the drawing and story making facilitated the client to express himself safely and metaphorically. Third, story-making based art therapy brought change in self- perception, improved ability in self-control, better assertiveness to the client. The findings above show that the client-generated drawings and stories helped the client express his repressed feelings and re-establish the past experiences. The client made various attempts to resolve his problems and were able to perceive himself differently.
