Abstract
With its broad accepting mind, the Nine-Leaf Poets Group has an open cultural awareness. On one hand, they absorb the excellent traditions of China's new and ancient poems. On the other hand, they learn from the western modern poems, especially from those of the 1920s and 1930s. However, they do not learn randomly, but following the principle of chronical absorption and synchronical learning and reflecting their cultural taste of learning and criticizing. They persistently learn from the western advanced culture, and meantime criticize imperialists' colonial politics. As for their attitude towards other literary schools of the same period, they keep competing against them, for maintaining their own artistic pursuit and exploration. At the same time, they co-exist with and learn from them, for common development.
