Abstract
The new perila variety Daesildeulkkae was developed at the National Crop Experiment Station, RDA in 1999through the crosing betwen recommended varieties of Daeyeupdlkkae and Yeupsildlkkae in 191. Daesildeulkae is character-ized as a thiner seedcoated, dark-brown seedcoat colored, soft and wider leaves compared to those of the check variety Saeyeupsil-deulkae. Seed size of Daesildeulkae is smaller but higher in oil content and extracted oil quantity than the check. Grain ofDaesildeulkae outyielded by 8% compared to that of check variety with 1.44MT/ha in advanced yield trial(AYT), by 9% with1.26 MT/ha in regional yield trial (RYT), respectively and fresh leaves yield was increased by 11% with 3.86MT/ha in RYT. Daesil-deulkae has been recomended as a leading variety for the whole country of Korea since 20.
