Abstract
>Much of research on condominium apartments has focused on indoor structure, rather than outdoor. As income grows and the preference of residents is diversified, the interest of outdoor space increases. This paper focuses on the preference of outdoor space in condominium apartments. It uses Conjoint Analysis to clarify and predict which factors of outdoor space are preferred by residents. This paper shows that outdoor cultural open space, jogging course, hydroponic facilities, and other cultural facilities are recognized as important ones by residents. The paper also classifies testing group into three clusters with demographic and statistical characteristics such as sex, age, the size of family, occupation, tenure type, the size of condominium, and income. Each cluster shows its own different preference by the characteristics. It is expected that this paper contributes to establishment of efficient plan by giving information for residents' preference of outdoor space in condominium apartments.
