이 연구는 국내 하키 선수들에게 상대연령효과가 나타나는지를 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 2018년도 대한체육회에 등록된 선수 1,359명을 대상으로 선정하였다. 국내 하키 선수들의 출생 월에 대한 자료는 대한체육회와 대한하키협회로부터 제공 받았다. 수집된 자료는 spss 21.0 프로그램을 이용하였고 카이제곱검정(Chi-square)과 스피어먼(Spearman)의 순위 차 상관계수를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 이때 모든 결과에 대한 통계적 유의수준은 α=.05로 설정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 하키 선수들에게 상대연령효과가 나타나는지에 대해 확인한 결과로 국내 하키 선수들에게는 남·여 선수 모두 상대연령효과가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 우수 하키 선수들에게 상대연령효과가 나타나는지에 대해 확인한 결과 우수 하키 선수들에게는 남·여 선수 모두 상대연령효과가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 일반 하키 선수들에게 상대연령효과가 나타나는지에 대해 확인한 결과 남자 일반 하키 선수에게는 상대연령효과가 나타났고, 여자 일반 하키 선수에게는 상대연령효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이 연구 결과는 상대연령효과를 다른 요인과 결합하여 연구하고자 하였을 때 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to confirm whether the relative age effect appears in domestic hockey players. To achieve this goal, 1,359 athletes registered with the Korean Olympic Committee in 2018 were selected. Data on the birth month of domestic hockey players were provided by Korean Olympic Committee and Korea Hockey Association. The collected data were analyzed using Chi-Square and Spearman rank correlation coefficient by using spss 21.0 program. Respectively. The statistical significance level for all results was set to α=.05. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of confirming whether the relative age effect appears in domestic hockey players, there is no relative age effect for both domestic and hockey players in domestic hockey players. Second, it was confirmed that the relative age effect of excellent hockey athletes was not shown for the excellent hockey athletes. Third, as for general hockey players, it was found that there was a relative age effect for male general hockey players and no relative age effect for female general hockey players. The results of this study can be used as basic data when we try to combine relative age effect with other factors.
