부산ㆍ울산ㆍ경남 지역의 외국인직접투자가 지역 경제성장에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 동남경제권인 부산ㆍ울산ㆍ경남지역에서 외국인직접투자 유입이 경제 성장에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는가를 파악하기 위해 실증분석을 하였다. 먼저 총생산액에서 차지하는 외국인직접투자 유입실적 비중으로 외국인직접투자의 성과를 분석하는 외국인직접투자 유입성과지수를 분석한 결과 부산ㆍ울산ㆍ경남 지역은 타 지역에 비해 낮은 수치로 나타났으며, 이는 경제력 규모에 비해 외국인직접투자의 규모가 낮았다. 부산ㆍ울산ㆍ경남지역의 외국인직접투자가 경제성장에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 콥-더글라스 생산함수에 기초하여 패널 모형을 분석한 결과 외국인직접투자 유입은 경제성장과 총고정자본형성에 상당히 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 동태적 모형의 특징을 갖는 벡터오차수정모형 분석의 추정 결과에서도 외국인직접투자는 경제성장과 고용 창출 및 수출에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyse the impact of inward Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) on regional economic growth in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do. The Cobb-Douglas production function was used to identify the impact of inward foreign direct investment on regional economic growth in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do area. According to the panel regression model analysis, the results showed a significant positive effect of inward foreign direct investment inflows and gross fixed capital formation on regional economic growth,In addition, the vector error correction model results showed a positive effect of inward direct investment, labor and exports on regional economic growth and foreign direct investment, employment and exports.
