인류세 논의의 윤리학적 의미와 도덕교육적 적용

인간이 지구 시스템에 커다란 교란을 일으킨 것으로 인해 우리의 미래는 예측하기 어려운 상황에 놓이게 되었다. 이런 상황 속에서 인류세라는 개념이 창안되기에 이르렀고 이 개념은 지구 전체의 공식적 지질연대표 속에 새로운 지질시대를 추가시켜야 한다는 의도로 제안된 것이다. 인류세 위기를 해결하기 위해 과학적 해결책이 가장 먼저 언급되기도 하지만 그것과 함께 인간의 사고 변화를 촉구하는 가치관적 접근법 즉 윤리적 처방을 위한 노력이 시급한 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 이런 윤리적 노력으로 탈인간 중심주의의 특정한 입장에 기대는 것이 아닌 새로운 책임 윤리의 필요성을 언급하고자 하였다. 또한 이런 윤리적 관점이 정착되기 위한 예비적이고 필수적인 작업으로 도덕교육이 중요하다고 보아 인류세 위기 해결을 위한 도덕교육적 방안을 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
Human being’s great disturbance in the Earth’s system put our future in an unpredictable situation. In this situation, the concept of Anthropocene came to be invented. The concept was proposed with the intention of adding a new geological ago to the official geological timeline of the entire planet. Scientific solutions are also mentioned first to solve Anthropocene crisis. However, along with that, efforts for a value-based approach, that is, ethical prescription, that urges changes in human thinking are urgently needed. This study attempted to mention the need for a new responsibility ethics rather than relying on a specific position of post-anthropocentrism with this ethical effort. In addition, I would like to propose a moral education model to solve the Anthropocene crisis, considering that moral education is important as a preliminary and essential work to establish this ethical perspective.
