한국영화제작산업에서의 상황적합적 관계에 관한 탐색적 연구

Abstract

Strategic Management literature suggests that firms tend to increase product variety in order to cope with increasing environmental uncertainty. Literature also suggests that firms tend to utilize diverse resources in order to cope with increasing environmental uncertainty. Based on extant literature, the purpose of this study is to empirically examine Korean movie producers' adaptive behaviors to different environmental characteristics in terms of genre variety and human resource usage patterns and their effects on performance. Empirical results do not show collective associations between environmental uncertainty and Korean movie producers' adaptive behaviors. Performance consequences of human resource usage patterns and environmental uncertainty is not found either. However, consistent with literature, empirical results suggests that Korean movie producers' genre variety has positive effects on performance in an environmentally uncertain period.
