우리나라 대학생들의 정보활용능력 인식도에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 우리나라 대학생들의 ‘정보활용능력’에 대한 인식도를 파악하기 위해 ACRL의 기준을 근간으로 설문조사하였다. 조사결과 성별, 학교별, 학년별, 전공별과 ACRL에서 제시하는 단계간의 인식도에서는 유의한 차이가 존재하지 않았다. 그러나 각 단계내의 성취지침들간에는 유의한 차이가 있는 경우가 많았다. ‘요구정보의 특성과 범위 파악’ 단계에서는 요구정보의 정의에 관한 지침이 가장 높게 인식되었고 정보자원의 유형 확인이 가장 낮게 인식되었으며, ‘정보의 효과적 접근’ 에서는 효과적인 검색전략의 구현이 가장 높게 인식되었다. ‘정보의 평가와 통합’에서는 정보와 자원의 평가 기준 적용이 가장 높았고 주제영역 전문가, 실무자와의 상의를 통한 정보의 이해와 해석이 가장 낮았으며 ‘정보의 이용’ 단계에서는 타인에게 효과적으로 성과 전달과 특정작업 계획에 이전의 정보와 새로운 정보 적용가 높게 인식되고 있었다. ‘정보윤리’에서는 각 지침들간의 인식도에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 본 논문에 세부항목에 대한 중요 인식도를 함께 제시하였다.
Abstract
This is a survey study to measure degrees of understanding regarding Information literacy in Korean university students based on ACRL standards. In the results of the survey there were no meaningful differences between individuals age, gender, major, and University. There were also no meaningful difference between the five ACRL standards. However, there were meaningful differences between the performance indicators in each standard. For example in the first standard, the performance indicator ‘Determines the nature and extent of the information needed', Defines the need for Information had the highest score. Identifies a Variety of Types and Formatshad the lowest score. In the second ‘Effective Access of Information', Implements Search Strategies had the highest score. In the third ‘Evaluate and Incorporate Information', Applies Criteria for Evaluating had the highest score and Interpretation of the Information through Discourse with Subject-Area Experts had the lowest score. In the fourth ‘Use of Information', Applies New Information, Communicates the Product to others had the highest score. In the last ‘Information Ethics', there was no meaningful difference. This study also showed outcomes regarding the details in each standard.
