Temperature measurement methods can be categorized into contact and non-contact methods. In contact methods, thermocouples are primarily used, whereas in non-contact methods, temperature is derived by measuring the spectroscopic signal emitted from an object. For temperature measurements using thermocouples, a simple configuration is possible but limitations exist, such as data disturbance and durability caused by high temperatures. In particular, in supersonic flows and high-temperature combustion environments, measurements using thermocouples are almost impossible because of the generation of shock waves and the flame temperature. Therefore, in this study, spectroscopes and lenses are constructed, and the temperature of methane flame with respect to the oxidizer is measured.
