초록
The functional safety ECU(Electronic Control Unit) used in military combat equipment is inadequate. Consequently, safety accidents have resulted in a loss of confidence in the military and a reduction in combat effectiveness. Accordingly, this study examines ISO 26262, an automotive functional safety standard, to determine its potential applicability to the introduction of military weapon systems and analyze the tactical effects of introducing functional safety ECUs. This study examines the process of weapon system introduction and suggests a potential approach for applying the procedural V-model of ISO 26262 in the R&D(Research and Development) phase. Furthermore, it presents new ROC(Requirement Of Capability), OMS/MP(Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile), and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) evaluation criteria that are used to add functional safety criteria to the weapon system performance requirements. In addition, it analyzes ECUs that have been introduced in the military and presents the ECU used in other countries. In conclusion, the introduction of a functional safety ECU for military weapon systems based on ISO 26262 could increase combat power and the quality of military equipment, as well as tactical utilization.
