진로설계 교양교육이 진로준비행동, 진로결정수준 및 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 사회인지 진로이론의 모형에 따라 학생의 진로 학습 경험이 진로준비행동, 진로결정수준 및 진로결정 자기효능감과 성과에 기여한다고 가정하였다. 이를 확인하기 위하여 사전조사와 사후조사를 실시하는 유사실험설계를 하고, 대응표본 t-검정을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 진로설계 교양교육과정을 수강한 학생의 진로준비행동, 진로결정수준 및 진로결정 자기효능감에 대한 평균 차이 분석에서 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구 결과는 대학의 교양교육에서 진로설계 교과가 학생들의 취업 가능성과 전문인력의 역량 함양에 중요한 역할을 한다는 점을 시사한다

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of a career planning course in increasing career preparation behavior, career decision level, and career decision-making self-efficacy. A quasi-experimental design was employed for evaluation, using non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group. Participants included 128 undergraduate students from a university in the Jeonnam area. The experimental group(n=89) underwent the career planning course for 15 weeks, whereas the control group(n=39) did not. Students took three measures(i.e., Career Preparation Behavior, Career Decision Level, and Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale) at two points in time. Paired t-test was used to determine if career courses affected career preparation behavior, career decision level, and career decision-making self-efficacy. The result of this study revealed that the experimental group exhibited better career preparation behavior, higher career decision level, and increased career decision-making self-efficacy than the control group. It was found that students’ career planning abilities had improved after following a career planning program. This intervention program module had successfully boosted the career planning ability of students. These results suggest that students will be able to enhance their ability to plan for their career if they are given a systematic management using a career panning module. The findings of this study in regard to enhancement of career preparation behavior, career decision level, and career decision-making self-efficacy could be useful to administrators in their efforts to promote career development and to students in deciding whether or not to participate in career design programs.
