공동체의식 유형과 자원봉사 경험, 자원봉사 참여의향의 관계 분석: 잠재프로파일분석을 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 지역사회 공동체의식 유형을 탐색하고, 자원봉사활동 경험과 자원봉사 참여의향 간의 관계를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 경상남도자원봉사센터의 경상남도 자원봉사 실태조사 자료(2022)를 활용하여 분석하였다. 변수의 특성을 파악하기 위한 빈도분석 및 기술통계분석을 수행하였고, 지역사회 공동체의식 유형은 잠재프로파일분석(Latent Profile Analysis, LPA)을 적용하였다. 그리고, 자원봉사활동 경험이 지역사회 공동체의식 유형화에 미치는 영향은 R3STEP을, 지역사회 공동체의식 유형에 따른 자원봉사 참여 의향 차이는 DCAT을 적용하는 3단계 접근법(three-step approach)으로 검증하였다. 분석결과, 지역사회 공동체의식은 ‘공동체의식 미약집단’, ‘공동체의식 평균집단’, ‘공동체의식 발달집단’의 3가지 유형으로 나타났다. 그리고, 자원봉사 경험이 있는 경우에 공동체의식 미약집단에 비해 공동체의식 발달집단에 속할 가능성이 높았으며, 또한 공동체의식 평균집단에 비해 공동체의식 발달집단에 속할 가능성이 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로 ‘공동체의식 미약집단’보다 ‘공동체의식 평균집단’에서 그리고 ‘공동체의식 평균집단’보다 ‘공동체의식 발달집단’에서 자원봉사 참여의향 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 논의, 한계점 및 후속연구에 대한 방향성을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the types of community consciousness in local communities and examine the relationship between volunteer experience and the intention to participate in volunteer activities. For this analysis, data from the 2022 Volunteer Status Survey by the Gyeongsangnam-do Volunteer Center was utilized. Frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted to understand the characteristics of the variables, and Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) was applied to identify the types of community consciousness. Additionally, the influence of volunteer experience on the categorization of community consciousness types was verified using R3STEP, and the differences in volunteer participation intention based on community consciousness types were examined using the DCAT in a three-step approach. The analysis results revealed three types of community consciousness: ‘weak community consciousness group,’ ‘average community consciousness group,’ and ‘developed community consciousness group.’ Individuals with volunteer experience were more likely to belong to the developed community consciousness group compared to the weak and average groups. Furthermore, the probability of intending to participate in volunteer activities was higher in the average community consciousness group compared to the weak group, and higher in the developed community consciousness group compared to the average group. Based on these findings, the study discusses implications, limitations, and directions for future research.
