한국 아동문학의 동심론(童心論) 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the conceptualization pattern of a term “Dongshim” underlying the identity of Korean writers of children’s stories and the results of the studies conducted intermittently about the improvement of Dongshim theory, and measure the significances of those studies. The results of the studies conducted by Chae, Chan Seok, Lee, Ji Ho and Kim, Jong Hyeon. were reviewed. The significances of their studies can be summarized as follows. First, they paid attention to investigating the reality of Dongshimreviewing the achievement from the studies on child development psychology and cognitive development theory- in order to overcome the abstractness of Dongshim theory. Second, they attempted to extract the concept and attributes of Dongshim focusing on analyzing works objectively without relying on the existing judgment standards and preconceptions. Third, they tried to conceptualize Dongshim from the perspective that respects the identity of children rather than from the perspective of adults. If these perspectives and objectives are embodied and Dongshim theory is developed continuously, it will make great contribution to securing the identity of Korean children’s literature and establishing children’s literature as a study.
