Abstract
This study analyzed what CSR activities meant to actual participating employees in order to understand how these activities are perceived by internal members. This study investigates how the views of the employees differ on the CSR activities especially volunteer activities which is centered on employee particiapation before and after the participation of the service activities. We analyzed in depth the participatory social service activities provided by domestic companies from the CSR point of view. Based on the grounded theory approach, we found that the participatory CSR activities play a role in the employees’ cognitive process by comparing the meaning of the volunteer activities using ex ante-ex post analysis
