육구연 역학(易學)의 특징에 대한 시론적 고찰

Abstract

Lu Jiuyuan’s Philosophy of Yijing has been paid little attention by scholars. In this paper, I would demonstrate its feature of Xin-xue by illuminating the overall aspects of Lu Jiuyuan’s Philosophy of Yijing. Therefore I would pay attention to four subjects: First, its feature as the book of Changes in terms of morality. Second, Lu Jiuyuan’s emphasis on the numerology and the Principle(理) and it’s meaning as Philosophy of Yijing. Third, the implication from the angle of Xin-xue about interpretation of “艮背行庭” which is a part of the Text of 52th Gen hexagram. Fourth, the Xin-xue theory of self cultivation in the Lu Jiuyuan’s interpretation of the nine hexagrams which are in the chapter7 of section2 in “the Great Appendix”. Based on the analysis of Lu’s Philosophy of Yijing, I think Lu Jiuyuan emphasizes the objectivity and universality of the Principle(理). And it may means that there is a conflict between his position as the founder of the Xin-xue and his philosophical theories. Scholars of Xin-xue are generally focusing on the subjectivism of mind. But despite this controversy, we can see Lu Jiuyuan insists that all people need to establish an internal moral power prior to learning about the external things, on the basis of Lu’s interpretation of “艮背行庭” and the nine hexagrams. In addition, the Mean(中) is very important factor of Lu’s Philosophy of Yijing and Wang Yangming point out the Mean(中) is the core of Xin-xue in the preface of Lu Jiuyuan’s anthology.
