본 연구는 리소르지멘토 역사를 다룬 이탈리아 여성 작가 안나 반티를 국내에 소개함과 동시에 그동안 저평가되었던 그녀의 역사 소설 Noi credevamo를 서술 구조적, 리소르지멘토이 이상이라는 이념적 그리고 19세기 여성의 삶이라는 젠더적 측면에서 재평가하고자 했다. 나아가 리소르지멘토 역사에서 여성 작가의 위치와 인식에 대한 논의 통해 이탈리아 여성 작가에 대해 진지하게 숙고할 기회를 갖고자 했다. 본 연구는 1960년대 리소르지멘토 재해석에 여성 지식인도 역시 합류하였으며 여성 작가들의 역사 의식과 작품이 다각도로 분석될 필요가 있음을 보여주기에 의미가 있다. 더불어 안나 반티의 작품에 대한 연구는 이탈리아 여성 작가 연구의 지평을 확장해 줄 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to introduce the Italian female writer Anna Banti, who dealt with the history of the Risorgimento, to a domestic audience and, at the same time, to reevaluate her historical novel Noi credevamo, which has been undervalued, from a structural narrative, ideological perspective of the ideals of the Risorgimento, and the gender aspect of women's lives in the 19th century. Furthermore, through the discussion of the position and perception of female writers in the history of the Risorgimento, it seeks to provide an opportunity to seriously contemplate Italian female writers. This study is significant as it shows that female intellectuals also joined the reinterpretation of the Risorgimento in the 1960s and that the historical consciousness and works of female writers need to be analyzed from multiple angles. Additionally, research on Anna Banti's works will expand the horizons of research on Italian female writers.
