Abstract

I thought the necessity of new method on the modern Korean literature. So I criticized the nation-state perspective and nationalism. To understand Korean Modernity accurately we must establish the problematic of world- system and consider the east-asian context with geo-culture. We will study newly the modern Korean literature in the east-asian context. In this paper I introduced some problems. (1)The limits of one national perspective and comparative studies (2)The necessity of cultural studies on literature (3)The importance of the 1900s in Korean literary history (4)The scientific research on the colonial modernity of modern Korea(1910-1945) (5)The view-point of world literature.
