Abstract

In the modern history the last 10 years transformed more things than the previous 100 years did. Life is increasingly picking up the pace. It is truly hard to remain tranquil while maintaining tension. A prolonged recession, soaring unemployment, long-established political conflict, education that loses competitiveness, relentless wave of globalization and others all contribute to the day to day unrest. In view of the people who feel insecure and the despondence and frustration that diffuse all around, the society does not tell what to do not to fall behind or to survive. This is a result of the compressed growth. It is not easy to define what a society looks like in a word because it is a product of complex interaction among politics, economy and culture, much less showing a typical aspect of the society. The same is true of the documentary photography which mainly deals with representation of aspects of the complex modern times. My work intends to represent indescribable fear about the feature, chaos and disorder and ideological conflicts which resulted from the fast collapse of the industrial age following the onset of the information age. Discussion of unrest may be serious. My work shows the aspects of truth about the unpredictable future paradoxically using light wit. The paradox used in my work is based on a metaphorical method in which the meaning or feeling of the subject is transferred to another object and a symbolic method which complete an image or an idea in combination with other interiority. Furthermore, one situation is represented by several photos in accordance with time sequence in the form of a documentary.
