Abstract

A Method of Bibliographical Study on the Materials of Korean Musicology A new frame for the bibliographical study on the books and documents related with Korean musicology and a sample written in the frame are given in this article. Overview of existing bibliographical notes and related studies, study on the differences between the versions, comparison with other related materials, translation into English, and index are included in the new frame. The expecting contributions of this kind of work are as follows. First, it will work as a guide for bibliographical studies on Korean musicology. Second, the work including index will be of great help to the scholars working on same field. Third, effective study can be done by avoiding the repetition of same errors. Fourth, appending English translation will contribute to globalization of the materials.
