유치원 교사의 유아 창의성에 대한 암묵적 지식 확인

초록

본 논문은 구체적인 유아 창의성의 개념을 규명하기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유아를 일상에서 가장 자주 접하고 동시에 그들의 창의성 교육을 일선에서 담당하고 있는 유치원 교사를 대상으로 그들의 창의성에 대한 암묵적 이론을 확인함으로써 유아 창의성 개념 정의를 시도해 보고자 한다. 이를 위해 유치원 교사 30명을 대상으로 창의적인 유아의 특성을 묻는 개방형 질문을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 수집된 최종 54개 문항으로 유아 창의성 개념을 묻는 7점 척도의 설문지를 완성하였다. 이 설문지를 총 200명의 유치원 교사에게 송부하였으며 이중 118개가 분석대상이 되었다. 수집된 자료는 요인 분석을 통해 최종 5개의 요인이 추출되었다. 그 결과 요인 1은 호기심 및 개방성, 요인 2는 친사회성, 요인 3은 탈규범성, 요인 4는 주도성 및 자기몰입, 요인 5는 다양성으로 명명하였다. 이를 통해 유치원 교사의 유아 창의성에 대한 암묵적 지식은 기존의 명시적 이론과 매우 유사함이 밝혀졌다.

Abstract

Because teachers are in frequent contact with children and are in charge of teaching creativity to them, this study asks what teachers know implicitly about the concept of children’s creativity. A survey of open questions concerning the characteristics of creative children was sent to 30 teachers. Based on the survey’s results, a questionnaire of 54 questions with a 7 point scale was prepared. The questionnaire was then sent to 200 teachers and 118 responses were selected for an analysis which reveals 5 factors crucial to teachers’ defining characteristics of children’s creativity. They are 1) Curiosity and Openness, 2) Sociability and Friendliness, 3) Deviation from norms, 4) Self-reliance and self-absorption, 5) Diverse.
