Abstract

Without citizen and community, there is no reason for existing police because polices are part of community and an element. Local police system being introduced in Korea need to manifest its power to minimise its conflict and can asrry out as a peace supporter of the community. The purpose of study is to analyse local police system which will be operated in Korea and to provide role and authority of desirable local police system. This study will discuss the introduction at chapter one, local police system and paradigm of police chapter two, the local police system in other countries at chapter three, the suggestion of local p for current government at chapter four, problems and the appropriate police power at chapter five, conclusion in the final chapter. The citizen will enjoy comfortable and safe life if harmonisation cooperative system achieved between national police and local police.
