이 논문은 박재삼 시인의 어떤 심리적 특성에 의해 여성의 죽음이 시 텍스트에 표면화되었는지에 대한 의문에서부터 출발 한다. 이러한 의문을 해소하기 위해 시인의 심리 기저에 드리워진 슬픔과 한의 내적 동인을 찾아보았고 ‘바다’와 ‘여성’의 상관성을 통해 죽음의 의미를 해명하고자 하였다. 또한 시에 내재된 슬픔을 아름다움에 대한 강박으로 보고 그 강박이 시에 드러나는 형식인 종결어미의 변형을 분석해 보았다. 박재삼 시에 드러난 슬픔과 한의 내적 동인을 작가의 고백 및 시 「恨」을 통해 분석한 결과, 그의 시에 나타나는 사랑의 아픔과 그리움은 필연적으로 죽음 의식의 소산임을 알 수 있었다. 여성의 죽음에 관한 시인의 인식은 유년시절 목격했던 가까운 이들의 죽음과 더불어 그가 성장한 바닷가를 배경으로 형성되었다. 그러나 이러한 유년기의 죽음에 관한 체험은 그의 시에서 절망감 보다는 아름다움으로 발현 된다. 시 「추억에서 16」과 「어지러운 혼」에서 보여 지는 죽음의 장소로서 바다는 ‘반짝이는 꽃밭’, ‘영원한 세계로 가는 길’ 등으로 나타난다. 죽음은 서럽지만 바다가 포용하는 죽음은 아름답다는 의미를 부여함으로써 시인의 상처 난 자아는 아름다운 죽음-아름다운 시로 그 슬픔을 보상 받는다. 박재삼 시에 내재된 아름다운 슬픔에 대한 강박은 특히, 그의 독특한 시어의 변형-종결어미의 변형에 의해 완결되는데, 이러한 시어의 구사는 슬픔에 대한 방어적 투쟁을 이끌어 낸다. 그 방어의 흔적은 시의 형태적 변형으로 현실 속에서 겪게 된 죽음을 아름다움의 원동력으로 이끌어 내었다는 것에 의미가 있다.
Abstract
This article starts with a question about how the death of a woman has surfaced in poetry by the psychological characteristics of poet Park Jae-sam. In order to solve these questions, I search for the sadness and internal driver of the poet in the psychological base of the poet, and try to clarify the meaning of death through the correlation between 'sea' and 'woman'. In addition, I regard the sadness inherent in poem as an obsession for beauty and analyze the transformation of final endings, which is the form in which the obsession is revealed in poem. As a result of analyzing the sadness revealed in Park Jae-sam's poem and the internal driver of Han through the author's confession and his poem Han, the pain and longing of love in his poem are inevitably the result of death consciousness. The poet's perception of the death of women is formed in the background of the death of his close companion and the beach he grew up in. However, this experience of childhood death appears in his poem as beauty rather than despair. As a place of death seen in poems 16 in memories and dizzy souls, the sea appears as 'a sparkling flower field' and 'a path to an eternal world'. Death is sad but death that the sea embraces is beautiful, meaning that the poet's wounded self is rewarded for his grief with beautiful death - beautiful poem. The compulsion for the beautiful grief inherent in Park Jae-sam's poem is completed, in particular, by the transformation of final endings of his unique verse, which leads to a defensive struggle against sadness. The sign of the defense is a morphological transformation of the poem, meaning that it has brought beauty to death through the reality.
