Abstract

Mook is a irregular publication that appeared in despotic 1970s with tendency of cultural guerilla. It is not easy to define the Mook in 80s that have various character, but one of the most distinct characters that encompass these can be said 'Post-centralism'. In this article, the character of <Masan culture> is cleared up as a case that can explain important character of Mook that were published in region, appeared as the series of reform movement that was deployed around Masan and progressive momentum. The reason that not only 'Masan culture' but also 'Masan student Association in Seoul' and 'Kyungnam good-book spread center' are ranged over is caused by awareness that Mook <Masan culture> didn't appear accidentally but appeared in the process of local reform movement. It can be said that this work is looking at forming capacity of main agent who set up <Masan culture> and identifying the detail of cultural movement that they wanted to aim and achieve. It seems to be a opportunity for us to think background and context of The Mook era concretely. This article explain overall flow and concreteness of local reform movement that happened from mid 70s to mid 80s in Masan where was particular about local identity and pride. Through it, it is cleared up The Mook-era which its advent seems unexpected was one product of reform movement of the age. It can be identified through the process of reaching 'Masan Student Association in Seoul' <Namdo> to 'Kyungnam good-book spread center' <Gyphyunbo> and Mook <Masan culture> that the movement which began from 'Masan Student Association in Seoul' raised local students in the middle of 70s, aspect that look after the people's life and revolution of local community because it spread to civil society again. Reform movement process from <Namdo> to <Masan culture> can be a important case that expand movement capability and character productively by interpenetrating of 'center-region', 'theory-actuality', 'knowledge-practice', 'intellectual-populace' to overcome the despotical reality in 70,80s. Mook <Masan culture> was the proceptive cause of series of reform movement that happened around 1980s. Moreover, it functioned as a major mediating-link and cultural base of that movement process.
