Because Moyers' method is developed for Caucasians. use of Moyers' method in korea is not suitable for estimating and gaining the space of unerupted permanent canine and premolars. The purpose of the present study was to determine which sum or combination of sums of permanent tooth widths presented the best prediction capability for the canine and premolar sums in a Korean sample. The dental casts of 71 koreans children with permanent dentition was measured to the nearest 0.05 mm with a three-dimensional computerized system. the two-way univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) test and pearson correlation coefficient were used for the statical analysis. As for female. the combination of the sums of permanent lower lateral incisors and upper first molars showed the highest correlation with the sums of unerupted canine and premolar widths. Correlation varied according to dental arch and sex. If predictors with higher correlation value for each gender are used ‘ results will be more precise. In addition. mesiodistal tooth size measurement using the new virtual method is more simple and reliable.
