소그룹 운영의 리더십: 수퍼리더십과 셀프리더십을 중심으로

개인의 주관성과 인권을 강조하는 포스트모더니즘과 민주화 사조로인해 개인주의가 심화되어 공동체가 붕괴되고, 인간 관계가 깨어지는 인간소외 현상이 가중되는 작금의 현실 속에서 자신이 용납되어 마음을 나눌 수 있는 소그룹 공동체는 한국교외의 매우 큰 영적, 심리적 자산으로기능한다. 다원화된 현대사회에서는 리더 개인의 능력보다는 공통의 목표를 향해 함께 힘을 합치는 구성원들과의 조화가 리더십에 있어서 중요한 요소로 부각되기 때문에 리더십 분야에서도 조직이론이 영향력을 확대하고 있으며, 소그룹 관련하여 구성원들 스스로가 리더십을 발휘하도록 육성하는 한편, 자신이 리더십의 모범이 되는 수퍼리더십과 이를 기반으로 구성원들이 발휘하는 셀프리더십이 새롭게 조명되고 있다. 셀프리더십을 발휘하는 구성원은 신앙 행위의 면에 있어서 교회 내 예배는 물론 지역사회를 섬기는 교회 외적인 사역에 대한 적극적 참여라는 성숙한 모습으로 나타나며, 공동체의 교제 및 상호 돌봄의 사역을 자연적 보상으로받아들이는 성숙한 신앙 인식 및 복음의 의미를 중심으로 인간적인 비합리적 신념과 불신을 타파하며 자신과 공동체를 세우는 건설적 사고 전략을 반영하는 모습을 보인다. 한국교회는 장기적인 관점에서 수퍼리더십과 셀프리더십을 활용하여 투철한 복음의 기반 위에서 사람을 일으켜 세우고, 삶을 통해 신앙의 모범을 보이는 소그룹 리더들을 양성함으로써 교회의 공동체성을 회복하고 급변하는 시대와 조화를 이루며 복음을 전하는 과업을 온전히 수행해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Small groups perform the functions of spiritual and psychological assets as Postmodernism and democratization deepen individualism and human alienation. Under the pluralized modern society, harmonious leadership between leaders and followers plays a crucial role and thus organizational theories stand out in the field of leadership theories. Hence, Korean churches should notice the benefits of SuperLeadership and Self- Leadership because they contribute to the restoration of the church’s identity and enhance the efficiency of modern ministry. SuperLeadership emphasizes the leader’s function as a role model and nurtures followers as self-leaders, and thus small group leaders will show mature behaviors such as participation in worship services and local community activities, accept the communion of small group and mutual care as natural rewards, and form a constructive cognitive structure to defeat irrational beliefs and distrust of faith. Thus, Korean churches need to raise future leaders who show examples of faith based on the teachings of the Bible, restore the identity of the church community, and preach the gospel in this rapidly changing modern society.
