목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 한국에서의 동성애자의 삶의 의미와 경험을 규명함으로서 삶의 본질을 기술하고 이해하는 것이다. 방법 : 본 연구는 현상학적 연구방법을 적용한 질적 연구로, 2015년 2월부터 2016년 1월까지 총 8명의 동성애자를 대상으로 심층면담을 통해 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 Colaizzi가 제시한 방법으로 이루어졌다. 결과 : 분석결과 5개의 주제모음으로 분석되었고, 각 주제는 ‘다름이 인정되지 않는 사회에서의 이방인’, ‘거부할 수 없는 운명’, ‘드러냄의 후폭풍’, ‘이반으로 살아내기’, ‘기대와 불확실성이 공존하는 미래 조망’이었다. 결론 : 본 연구의 결과를 통해 한국에서의 사회문화적 변화 속에서 동성애자의 삶을 이해하고 지지적 태도를 위한 간호 실무에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the nature of life among homosexuals in Korea. Method: Phenomenological methodology was used for the study. From February 2015 to January 2016, data were collected from 8 homosexuals through in-depth interviews and analyzed using Colaizzi’s framework. Result: Five theme cluster and fourteen themes were identified for the life experiences of homosexuals. The five theme clusters were ’alien in an intolerant society’, ‘a fateful gender that can't be denied’, ‘process of coming out', ‘endure as a homosexual’, and ‘future perspectives where expectation and anxiety coexist’. Conclusion: Thist study provides deep insight into the experience of homosexuals's live in changing society and culture of Korea. Nursing practices should be improved for supportive attitudes.
