Abstract
Purpose: This study is a research of clinical nurse awareness of biomedical ethics and attitudes to euthanasia. Methods: Study subjects included 255 nurses who are directly participating in patient nursing services at hospitals of K region with more than 200 beds. Statistics were drawn between 18 April and 3 May 2013. Collected data were analyzed with SPSSWIN 18.0 program. Results: Average score of awareness of biomedical ethics were 2.94, and attitudes to euthanasia 2.22. The awareness of biomedical ethics and attitudes to euthanasia showed significant negative correlation. Conclusion: Clinical Nurses showed positive attitudes toward awareness of biomedical ethics, euthanasia. And the higher level of awareness of biomedical ethics was, the more negative attitude toward euthanasia clinical nurse showed.
