초록
The purpose of this study was to compare the difference in the prevalence of malignant neoplasms according to the level of physical activity, to compare the annual medical expenses, number of outpatient, and inpatient days in patients with malignant neoplasms according to the level of physical activity, and to compare the differences in health-related quality of life. The data for this study were from the 2018 Korea Health Panel, which included 14,031 adults, of which 614 (4.4%) were diagnosed with malignant neoplasms. Physical activity was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Logistic regression analysis on the prevalence of malignant neoplasms according to the level of physical activity and ANOVA on medical use were performed. The prevalence of malignant neoplasms according to the level of physical activity was 0.50 for the minimally active grade compared to the inactive grade, and the odds ratio for the active grade was 0.41 (p<.01). Annual medical expenses, annual day of outpatient, and inpatient decreased as the level of physical activity increased, but there was no significant difference. In the case of health-related quality of life, all five items increased as the level of physical activity increased, and there was a significant difference. The prevalence decreased as the level of physical activity increased, but there was no significant difference in annual medical expenses, The annual day of outpatient and inpatient, and all HRQoL 5 items increased as the level of physical activity increased.
