사립대 아카이브즈의 위상과 기능에 관한 연구

이 글은 한국의 사립대 아카이브즈의 위상과 기능에 대하여 서술하고 있다. 대학의 아카이브즈는 민주적 대학운영, 역사와 문화의 정체성 확보, 행정의 효율화를 위하여 반드시 필요하다. 사립대 아카이브즈는 전문성과 독자성에 비추어 볼 때 대학내에서 독립기구화 되어야 하며, 명칭은 ‘OO대학 기록관’이 적당하다. 또한 합리적인 운영을 위해서 ‘운영위원회’와 ‘실무위원회’를 함께 구성해야 한다. 또한 이들 ‘위원회’는 아카이브즈의 위상을 강화하는데에도 도움을 주게 될 것이다. 사립대 아카이브즈는 기본적으로 ① 기록물의 수집, 정리, 분류, 보존 등 관리기능 ② 기록물을 활용한 서비스 기능 ③ 기록관리를 위한 연구기능 ④ 대학사 편찬 및 이에 부합하는 각종기능을 수행해야 한다. 확장된 기능으로는 ① 지역사회와 대학간의 매개 기능 ② 학내 구성원 교육 ③ 디지털 아카이브즈 기능 등을 모색해 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This study is for why Korean private universities make high position and performance on their archives. It's needless to say that archives of university is desperate for democratic management, historic and cultural identity and administrative efficiency. As for archives of private univeristy, it has to be set by its own organization as the name of '00 university archives' if possible. At the same time both 'administrative structure' and 'working-level structure' should be activated for the better output. It might be helpful to empower itself. Archives of private university have to fulfill these basic role; aqusition, arrangement, classification, preservation etc./service/study of archival science /university history compling. It could be expand to the link between university and local community, open class and digital archive service.
