본 연구는 ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF) 등을 기반으로 기술된 아카이브를 대상으로 RiC-O 정식 버전의 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 기존 표준의 통합과 다차원 기술을 지향하는 RiC의 개념을 파악하고, 서울시립미술아카이브의 소장 컬렉션에 RiC-CM과 RiC-O를 적용하여 온톨로지 그래프로 시각화하는 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과, RiC-O를 통해 아카이브의 데이터를 누락이나 손실 없이 온톨로지 그래프로 구현할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 사례 연구를 바탕으로 RiC-O의 적용 가능성을 다섯 가지 설계 원칙에 따라 분석하고, 차세대 기술 표준의 도입과 확산에 참고할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study examined the applicability of the official version of Records in Contexts (RiC) to archives described based on standards such as ISAD(G) and ISAAR(CPF). To this end, the study first explored the concept of RiC, which aimed to integrate existing standards and support multidimensional description. A case study was conducted by applying RiC-CM and RiC-O to the collection of the Art Archives, Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA AA), followed by visualization as an ontology graph. The findings demonstrated that archival data could be faithfully represented as an ontology graph through RiC-O without data loss or omission. Based on the case study, the applicability of RiC-O was analyzed according to five design principles, and strategies were proposed to inform the adoption and dissemination of the next-generation archival description standard.
