Abstract
This study is about the aspect of aesthetic experience indian of rasa. The theory of rasa, being based on NāṭyāŚātra (the most ancient theory indian of theater) is not only the theory of theater but also that of the various kind of arts related on it, like literature, music, dance, etc. Rasa, literally essence, means ‘sap', ‘juice’ ‘flavor’. As a emotion that a spectator can have in front of an art work, it signifies also ‘taste’, ‘savor’, and also ‘be ageable to the favor’. What does the aesthetic experience means in theory of rasa? The aesthetic experience, by the ancients theorists, is based on the eight aesthetic emotions, or eight rasa. Being realizable during aesthetic experience, they are the emotions of pur, intense, stable and sustainable states. Layed on our deep interior through our ordinary experience, they are also consubstantial. Theses pur emotions appears by a process of concentration of ordinary feeling habitually disperses. They are realizable by a reunion of the complementary, transitional emotions (vyabhicāribhavā), which by an intensification continue will transform to the eight emotions dominants, purs and of exceptional stability (stāyibhāva). Aesthetic experience, being understood by this sense, is like experience of ‘extra-ordinary’ in opposition to that ordinary, people says also it is ‘supra-worldly’. The transformation of the emotions that the aesthetic experience procure, is based on the replies of one to his inside, this later being a place of fundamental experience of transformation. Aesthetic 338 영상 문화experience thus, is that of transformation of a one who ordinarily impure to extra-ordinary and pur. Understood like this, it isn't the experience given by chance but a ‘reaching’ or an ‘accomplishment’ in a sense of very actif.
