Abstract

The Childrens Stories of Lee Tae-jun were not dealt with especially. Because the number of the works is not much, and the concep of Childrens Story is modern. Therefore it is regard that 'childrens literature' is short of 'adult literature'. Because of this opinion the Childrens Story of Lee Tae-jun Isn't attended comparatively. Now the experts of Lee Tae-jun's literature tend to study as a kind of life-materials. I think that it is important the Childrens Story is studied by a viewpoint of the characteristics of Lee Tae-jun's literature. The orphan experience of Lee Tae-jun is the root of his works. Actually he was orphan. All of his infancy experience is the emotion of 'sadness'. This feeling created the world of Childrens Story. Therefore, the shaping method of the orphan expenence IS very Important. The sentimental narrator is abuntant in Lee Tae-jun's literature(especially in Short Story). The narrators of Childrens Story are children. And the herose's feelings develop the theme. The sentimental narrator in the short story caused sentimentalism. But in the Childrens Story the herose's feeling, sadness, bring about childlike imagination. This imaginatin is concerned with 'Lingering Imagery' (여운) The vivid description of a scene and situation leaves 'lingering imagery' without the moral explanation. And 'lingering imagery' evokes symphathy. This symphathy regard the self as the orphan, abandoned people. This is the aesthetical value of the 'lingering imagery'. Especially the Little Childrens Story, constructed dialogue scene, is significant in the aesthetical results.
