Abstract
Mean corpuscular volume is one of the important indices in classifying the anemia and determining the macrocyte. The visual or electrically count hematologic values are more accurate than that of conventional method. The MCV is influenced by liver disease. 80, author have studied the relationship between liver function test(total protein, albumin, AST, ALT, G-GT) and MCV so as to corrected classif ying the anemia. A study population are 111 persons(70.7%) in patients group and 46 persons(29.3%) in control healthy group. The result were as follows; 1. Mean MCV was significantly higher in liver disease than that of normal control according to t-test(ps 0.001). 2. Albumin was the best significantly relationship with MCV (r = - 0.4283, p < 0.001) 3. The regression equation of the MCV were y= -3.65 x alb+108.59 by stepwise multiple regression analysis.(MCV were significantly increased as albumin decreased). 4. We will concerned about L.F.T. to classify the anemia by MCV.
