Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of consumer’s subjective brand knowledge on brand value and brand love, and the relationship between these research concepts. For this purpose, the hypothesis was derived from the theoretical system and the research model was developed and applied to the environmentally friendly agricultural products, and it was confirmed through the empirical study by the questionnaire. The findings and strategic implications are summarized as follows. First, the brand value of eco - friendly agricultural products showed a multidimensional structure composed of functional value, emotional value, and social value. Second, the subjective brand knowledge of eco - friendly agricultural products has a positive effect on functional brand value, emotional brand value, and social brand value. Third, the brand value of consumers' eco - friendly agricultural products has a positive effect on brand love. This result suggests that subjective brand knowledge communicated appropriately to consumers can be used as a tool to form long - term relationships between consumers and producers by promoting favorable information processing, creating brand value and forming brand love.
