A Survey on the Passive Euthanasia from the Christian Bioethical Perspective

Abstract
This paper addresses several problems of euthanasia and seeks solutions from the perspective of the christian bioethics. Then it is to propose the proper practical solution. The term euthanasia comes from the Greek language and means "good death". It is defined as "a quiet and easy death or the action of inducing a quiet and easy death." Active euthanasia is illegal because it has many ethical problems. But the passive euthanasia can be refered to as inducing death by withdrawing treatment. We must notice the difference between benefits and effects of treatment before determining withdrawing life support systems for a terminally ill patient. We must also carefully consider that the withdrawal of treatment is for the true love and care of the patient.
