Abstract
This study have examined two aspects of the established traditionalism. The fist aspect is that the starting point of discussion about the traditionalism should go back to Hakjikwag in 1910s, not to national literature in 1920s. The second is that if we devide periods on the development of traditionlism it must be meaningless to devide them by the unit of year. The traditionalism in 1910s focused on the Ethnic Formationalism as medium of rehavilitation of national sovereignty and national spiritism against the lost national right. The traditionalism in literature were reflected in literary works in those days. The traditionalism of traditional style was played an experimental part as active as the traditional style in the field of creative literature in 1920s to the early 1930s. The late 1930s to 1940s was the time when the policy on obliteration of Korean national identity by Japan was enforced. Therefore, Korean national culture, in other words the public opinion of the restoration of classical literature for the rehabilitation of Korean national identity was gathering gtrength at that crucial moment.
