Abstract
Kim, Jin-ryang, 2007, Writing and Regional Recognition in Korean Modern Prose, URIMALGEUL: The Korean Language and Literature 40, pp.229～257. The purpose of this thesis it to analyse relation of organizational principal and regional recognition which is found out at the text of “base investigation on Korean culture, 조선 문화의 기본 조사” in <Gaebyeok개벽> 1920s. This approach sets that the text of “the investigation, 기본 조사” is not only a prose style but a knowledge system. “the investigation” is the product of reconstruction from raw data on region. The writing in “the investigation” is equivalent to organizstion of knowledge system. The organizational principal of writing is equivalent go structural principal of raw data. We can consider regional recognition from a unique angle after the analysing of writing principal in the text of “the investigatin” This result present to us the method and principal of regional imagination. “the investigation” is an intentionally designed writing for the purpose of making regional recognition. That is a political discourse of the colonial Korean inhabitants in 1920s, and is significant because of an ‘aesthetic style of knowledge’ which was origined in the history of Korean modern prose.
