Based on previous study, by using modern devices and applying acoustic& physiological analysis approaches, this paper implements systematicquantitative and qualitative analysis of the coarticulation effects of vowelon the adjacent consonants in standard Mongolian. The experiments resultsdemonstrate that Mongolian consonants are affected by adjacent vowelson the tongue position and the consonants’ tongue vertical variation scopeis bigger than tongue horizontal variation scope. Consonants are affectedby adjacent high vowels and the tongue position becomes higher ; Instead,consonants are affected by adjacent low vowels and the tongue positionbecomes lower.
