초록
The traditional clothing holds a unique position in the history of culture of any society: as one of the main elements of material culture, it reflects, on the one hand, the ethnic identity and environment, and on the other - the extent of economic development, as well as the social and economic situation of the people. This article attempts to provide a systematic introduction of the vocabulary that focuses on the representation of the traditional Sakha clothing names, falling under certain thematic groups; to identify the motivational indicators of nominating outer clothing items, headgear, footwear and their parts in the Sakha (Yakut) language. Some traditional functions of clothes can be traced in the Sakha phraseology. Understanding phraseology in the broader sense (phraseological unitsidioms, proverbs, riddles), we attempt to identify important axiological connotations inherent in the clothing and its details in the Sakha linguistic picture of the world. These idioms are a semantically rich class, and its content covers many aspects of human life. The clothes code in phraseology reveals individuals, their social status, material wealth, emotions, and life experiences. Proverbs and riddles contain axiological and emotive judgements and moralizing.
