본 논문은 초등학교 도덕과에서 비판적 사고력을 신장시키기 위한 방안에 대해 연구한 것이다. 비판적 사고란 인지적 측면의 사고기능과 정의적 측면의 사고성향으로 구성되고 이 두 요소가 함께 결합하여 작동된다. 비판적 사고성향이 제대로 습득되지 않으면 비판적 사고 기능도 제대로 발휘되기 어렵다. 따라서 초등학교 도덕과에서의 비판적 사고력 신장 교육은 학생들의 인지적 발달 수준을 고려하여 비판적 사고기능보다는 사고성향을 습득시키는 데 초점을 맞추는 것이 효과적이라 할 수 있다. 그리고 기존의 비판적 사고력 교육에 대한 접근 방식은 크게 독립 접근 방식(환원론), 영역 구체적 접근 방식, 혼합 접근 방식으로 나뉘는데, 초등학교 도덕과의 비판적 사고력 신장 교육은 도덕과 영역에 초점을 맞추는 영역 구체적 접근 방식을 바탕으로 하되 비판적 사고력의 하위 요소들을 재구성하여 가르치는 차원에서의 독립 접근 방식을 활용하는 것이 타당하다. 결론적으로 초등도덕교육에서는 다양한 발문을 통해 학생들의 비판적 사고기능을 신장시키고, 학생 중심의 토론수업이나 집단탐구학습 등을 통해 비판적 사고성향을 신장시킬 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The paper is to study on the plans to cultivate pupil's critical thinking in elementary moral education. This critical thinking is composed of thinking skill and thinking disposition. Failing to acquire along with thinking disposition in elementary moral education, pupils don't show their critical thinking skill. Therefore elementary moral education should have focused on thinking disposition rather than critical thinking skill in consideration of pupil's cognitive levels. It's a effective method. And there are three kind of approach in critical thinking education. One is stand alone approach, another is domain specific approach, the another is mixed approach. The cultivating of critical thinking in elementary moral education should based on domain specific approach focused on moral domain. And it has to use stand alone approach that teach subfactor of critical thinking skills by reconstruct. Consequently elementary moral education need that cultivate critical thinking skills by various questioning and cultivate critical thinking disposition by debate instruction or group inquiring learning.
