Abstract
The purpose of this study is to classify the ilands for improvement of the iland development efficiency. The development potential of iland falls into one of three categories, which are nature potential and artificial potential, human resources potential. To measure the potential, 23 indicators are used. Three factors are drawn from factor analysis for classification of ilands. K-mean cluster analysis were performed on collected data. The ilands from the finding of the cluster analysis are arranged into agricultural resources type, industrial agricultural resources type and travel resources type. The disparity of development strategy according to classification of islands is needed to develop ilands efficiently.
