데카르트는 지성이 작용할 때 의지가 발현되어야 참된 신념이형성된다고 주장했지만, 도덕적 신념은 반드시 지성에 의해서만 형성되지않는다. 따라서 본 연구는 도덕적 신념의 형성 및 작용에 대한 관점을 재정립하고자 실시되었다. 먼저 본 연구에서는 도덕적 신념에 대한 기존 해석들을 비판적으로 분석하면서 그 한계와 그 한계가 발생하게 된 원인을규명했다. 또한 지성의 작용, 도덕적 목표, 그리고 도덕적 신념의 변화 계기에 대한 관점 변화를 주장하면서 기존 해석의 한계점을 보완하고 행위자의 도덕적 신념을 온전하게 설명하기 위한 방향성을 제시했다. 이를 토대로 본 연구에서는 행위자의 도덕적 신념의 양상을 정립․제안했다. 본 연구는 지성 이외에 다양한 요인들에 의해 형성되고 반성적 사고를 통해 지속적으로 발전하는 도덕적 신념을 설명할 수 있는 틀을 정립했다는 데에 의의가 있다.
Abstract
Descartes argued that true beliefs are formed only when will is expressed while intelligence works, but moral beliefs are not necessarily formed only by intelligence. Therefore, this study was conducted to reestablish the perspective on the formation and action of moral beliefs. First, in this study, the limitations and causes of those limitations were identified while critically analyzing existing interpretations of moral beliefs. It also suggested a direction to complement the limitations of the existing interpretation and fully explain the actor's moral beliefs, arguing for changes in perspective on the action of intelligence, moral goals, and opportunities for changes in moral beliefs. Based on this, this study established and proposed a mode of the actor's moral beliefs. This study is meaningful in that it has established a framework for explaining moral beliefs that are formed by various factors other than intelligence and continue to develop through reflective thinking.
