본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대학의 테크놀러지 활용교육 진행 정도를 P대학의 사례를 중심으로 고찰하고, 테크놀러지 활용의 확산을 방해하는 요인을 분석한 후, 이를 효과적으로 확산시킬 수 있는 실천 촉진방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 혁신 관련 문헌을 분석하고, P대학 교수자 280명을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며, 이들 중 직급과 전공이 다른 6명의 교수자를 선정하여 개별면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 연구에 참여한 교수자는 온라인 수업매체를 전혀 사용하지 않는 교실교육의 형태로만 수업을 하고 있었으나, 테크놀러지에 대한 기본적인 지식과 이를 이용한 교수법 사용에는 긍정적인 태도를 가지고 있었다. 또한 테크놀러지를 수업에 활용할 의사가 있었으며, 테크놀러지 활용의 교육적 효과를 확신하고 있었다. 그러나 이러한 테크놀러지를 활용한 수업에 대한 아이디어를 실행시키지는 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purposes of this paper were to investigate the degree to which technology has been integrated into the higher education and to suggest the ways of accelerating the technology diffusion process. In order to accomplish the purposes, the survey was conducted with 280 faculty members and the interviews with 6 faculty members were conducted in one of the southern universities in Korea. The research results revealed that most of the participants were delivering their instruction in a classroom instructional format without blending any kind of online technology. However, they expressed the positive perceptions and attitudes towards the use of technology in educational settings. In spite of such positive perceptions, the participants could not implement their innovative ideas in their instruction since their time and their knowledge and skills to develop technology-enhanced course materials were always limited. In addition, the participants felt that it is unnecessary to use technology in their subject areas. Based on the findings, suggestions were proposed for accelerating the technology innovation process in classroom instruction. The RIPPLES model(Surry, 2002) were used. as a framework for suggestions.
