실천적 성찰에 기초한 순환적 자기수업컨설팅 모형 개발

이 연구는 실천적 성찰에 기초하여 교수자가 자신의 수업을 분석하여 문제를 발견하고 해결하는 과정을 통해 교수자 스스로가 지속적으로 수업을 개선할 수 있도록 자기수업컨설팅 단계를 도식화하여 모형으로 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교수자의 수업 성찰, 자기수업컨설팅의 특징과 절차 등 관련 문헌들을 고찰하고 자기수업컨설팅을 심도있게 경험한 현장교사들과 전문가들을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행하여 실천적 성찰에 기초한 순환적 자기수업컨설팅 모형(이하 SELF 모형) 초안을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형 초안은 전문가 5인에게 2차례에 거쳐 타당도를 검증 받았으며, 이를 통해 모형의 절차적 표현이 재도식화 되고 세부 단계의 용어와 전략이 수정 보완되었다. 이같은 내적 타당도 검증을 통해 수정된 SELF 모형은 교육현장의 실제적 활용 가능성을 확인하기 위해 현장교사 5인을 대상으로 외적 타당도를 실시하였다. 내·외적 타당도 검증을 통해 완성된 SELF 모형은 ‘Start instruction(자기수업컨설팅을 수행할 수업 시작하기)’, ‘Explore instructional system(체계적으로 수업분석하기)’, ‘Look into problems(수업문제 들여다보기)’, ‘Find solutions(개선안 탐색하기)’의 주요 단계와, ‘수업 준비’, ‘수업 실행’, ‘성찰적 수업 관찰’, ‘체제적 수업분석’, ‘문제 발견’, ‘개선할 문제 선정’, ‘개선안 탐색’, ‘개선안 실천’의 세부 단계로 최종 확정되었다. 아울러 단계들 간의 순환적인 구조 특징과 실천적 성찰의 중요성을 표현하기 위해 SELF 모형의 전체적인 형태는 바람개비를 메타포로 활용하여 제시하였다. 끝으로, 메타포를 활용하여 제시한 모형의 이점, 수업문제 발견을 위한 단계적 절차의 시기, 평생교육과 기업교육 현장에서의 활용 가능성 탐색, 자기수업분석도구 개발의 필요성, 자기수업컨설팅을 위하여 요구되는 요인이나 역량 도출의 필요성 등이 논의되었다.
Abstract
This study sought to develop a cyclical self-consultation model of instruction based on practical reflection, allowing instructors to improve their own classes continuously through an analytical process of identifying and solving problems. To achieve purpose of the study, relevant evidence, such as instructors’ reflections on a class, the reflection process, and the characteristics and procedures a self-consultation model of instruction, was reviewed. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with teachers in the field and experts with experience of self-consultation in instruction. On account of this, a draft cyclical self-consultation model of instruction based on practical reflection(the SELF model) was validated twice by five experts. The procedural expression of the model and its stages were revised in light of their feedback. The validated model was then implemented by five instructors in the field to externally verify its practical use. As a result of this research, the SELF model consisting of four main steps(‘Start instruction’, ‘Explore instructional system’, ‘Look into problems’, and ‘Find solutions’) was developed. The overall framework of the SELF model was presented using a pinwheel as a metaphor to express the cyclical relationship between different stages and the importance of practical reflection. Finally, the advantages of the model were discussed, including the use of metaphors, the timing of the problem identification stage, the applicability to lifelong and corporate education, the development of additional self-consultation analysis tools, and the development of competencies required for self-consultation in instruction.
