이 연구는 글로벌화 맥락을 배경으로 하면서 영토교육의 재개념화와 교수전략의 모색을 추구하고 있다. 영토의 문제는 지정학의 전형적인 탐구대상이다. 글로벌 시대에 와서 국가 중심의 고전 지정학 비전은 초국가적인 접근 방식에 의해 상대화되고 있다. 영토는 영역화의 운동 양상을 반영하며, 지정학 비전의 재현물로서 개별 주체들에게 각인된다. 영토교육은 정교하게 조직화된 지정학 비전의 상황이며, 일종의 공간 전략 혹은 지리적인 실행의 과정이다. 글로벌 세상에서, 영토교육은 일정한 관계 설정과 의미 추구의 전략으로 사고할 수 있다. 즉, 글로벌시대 영토교육은 배타적인 민족주의 교육에서 벗어나 비판 문식성의 발달 관점에서 고려할 필요가 있다. 아울러, 탈근대 지평에서 영토교육을 모색할 수 있으며, 이는 영토교육의 다차원적인 스케일을 고려하면서 초국가적인 주체 형성의 논리를 추구한다.
Abstract
This paper is focused on the reconceptualization of territorial education and planning of teaching strategy in the global context. The problems of territorial conflict are typical tasks of geopolitical inquiry. In a globalized world, the strength of classical geopolitical visions are weakened by geographies of transnational network. Territory is a social construction which reflects on movement of territorialization and product of geopolitical representation. Territorial education is a case of this representation and the process of geographical practices. Approach of territorial education is changed into a new perspective and teaching method. Namely, it escapes from exclusive nationhood education and pursues development of critical literacy and cultivation of transnational citizenship based on multidimensional scale.
