연구 목적: 이 연구는 트로트 열풍 속에 새롭게 등장한 가수 임영웅의 팬카페를 중심으로 팬덤 활동에 참여하고 있는 중년여성의 경험을 심층적으로 살펴봄으로써 팬덤 문화를 수용하는 과정이 가지는 의미를 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 팬카페를 통해 팬덤 활동에 참여하고 있는 50-64세 중년여성 6명을 인터뷰하여, 현상학적 연구 논리와 Giorgi의 연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구내용: 분석 결과 98개의 의미 단위와 23개의 하위 구성요소, 5개의 구성요소를 도출하였고, 이를‘인생의 굴곡을 넘어 스스로 다시 찾은 청춘’이라는 본질적 주제로 통합하였다. 결론 및 제언: 연구 결과 중년여성은 위기에 직면한 상황에서 팬덤 문화 수용을 통해 관계를 넓히고, 새로운 지식을 쌓으며 능동적이고 활기찬 모습으로 자기 정체성을 재정립하는 것으로 나타났다. 결과를 토대로 중년여성의 건강한 삶의 영위를 위한 정책과 사회문화적 지원 방안에 대해서 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of the process of accepting fandom culture by examining the experiences of middle-aged women who are participating in fandom activities centered on the fan cafe of Young-woong Lim, a newly emerged singer in the trot craze. To this end, six middle-aged women aged 50 to 64 who are participating in fandom activities through a fan cafe were interviewed and analyzed using phenomenological research logic and Giorgi’s research method. As a result of the analysis, 98 semantic units, 23 sub-components, and 5 components were derived, and they were integrated into the essential theme of ‘youth that has rediscovered by oneself beyond the crisis of life.’ As a result of the study, it was found that, in the face of crisis, middle-aged women expand their relationships by accepting fandom culture, build new knowledge, and redefine their identity as an active and energetic person. Based on the results, policies and socio-cultural support measures were suggested for middle-aged women to lead a healthy life.
