연구 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 만성질환이 있는 독거중년의 건강위기 경험을 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구 방법: 연구 참여자는 건강위기 경험이 있는 자발적 형성의 독거중년 5명이다. 자료는 2022년 4월 23일부터 7월 28일까지 심층면담을 통해 수집되었으며, Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 연구 결과 ‘건강위기와 사투하며 느끼는 절망’, ‘고난을 함께 할 지지를 염원함’, ‘위기를 조정하고 수용하며 살아감’의 3개의 주제모음과 9개의 주제가 도출되었다. 결론 및 제언: 만성질환이 있는 독거중년의 건강위기는 신체적･심리적･사회적 기능이 저하되므로 대상자 중심의 총체적인 간호가 요구되며, 대상자의 건강증진을 위한 유대관계 프로그램과 만성질환 관리 프로그램을 개발하여 적용하는 연구와 이론 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구는 만성질환이 있는 독거중년의 건강위기 경험의 본질을 파악함으로써 실효성 있는 정책 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the health crisis experience of middle-aged people living alone with chronic disease. The study participants were five middle-aged voluntarily living alone who experienced a health crisis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews from Apr. 23 to July 28, 2022 and analyzed by Colaizzi’s phenomenological method. As a result of the study, three theme clusters and nine themes were derived: ‘Despair felt while fighting a health crisis’, ‘Wishing for support to share in hardships’, and ‘Living by coordinating and accepting crises’. The health crisis of middle-aged people living alone with chronic disease requires holistic nursing because their physical, psychological, and social functions are deteriorated. Research and theory are needed to develop and apply a relationship program and chronic disease management program for the health promotion of participants. This study will be able to provide basic data for effective policy development by understanding the essence of health crisis experience of middle-aged people living alone with chronic disease.
